It’s been a good three weeks since we launched our inaugural poll here at NSU, asking our readers to opine on“Which New York City Borough Has Produced the Best Rap Music?”

With a gargantuan sample of 12 responses, here are our scientific results:

The Bronx — 0
Brooklyn — 6 (50%)
Manhattan — 0
Queens — 5 (41.7%)
Staten Island — 1 (8.3%)

Congrats, BK! You are the winner! I voted for Queens, although I can easily see arguments for Brooklyn. I’m simply not a big Jay-Z fan and my love for Biggie is tepid outside of  Ready to Die.

Obviously we have a Wu-Tang fan in our midst which is perfectly fine in my book (call me). Commenting on my Facebook page, my friend Jon Holt seemed to have summed it up best when he said, “Really though it’s probably a tie btwn Queens and Brooklyn.”

Thanks to all who participated and make sure to stay posted! We’ll have a new poll up soon.
